In my research I’ve found blues in many far corners of the world but the Blues Byrds are a unique story indeed. I’m happy to introduce to you a great sounding long distance recording blues band “The Blues Byrds” and a song from their upcoming CD Overseas.

ANDREA CREMONA (Travo – Italy) has played the blues as a drummer for a long time in the great country of Italy and MICHAEL LYZENGA (West Virginia – USA) is a writer, vocalist, and guitarist that has been playing the blues for many years in his adopted home state of West Virginia. The two met in January 2009 in a blues community (LiveBluesWorld), became good friends, and realized that the Atlantic Ocean was way too small to stop their blues from being spread around the world. In February 2009 the two blues-mates started to record together via long-distance file transfers and alot of emails back and forth. Overseas is the first song of many that will be included in their first album titled: “OVERSEAS”. Two studios are engaged in the project: bluesboxstudios – Travo, Italy and ValleyViewStudio – West Virginia, USA. We hope everyone who gets the opportunity to listen to their songs comes away with a good feeling about the music they have produced and the friendship they have formed. Stay in tune for more!
