Karen Lovely – Lucky Girl – A Rising Blues Star

KAREN LOVELY: Lucky GirlKaren Lovely has a new record label in “Pretty Pear Records” and it seems to be working out for her. Karen’s new release ‘LUCKY GIRL’ now No. 1 on XM Radio Bluesville “Pick to Click” list!!! Karen lists her favorite artists as Bessie Smith, Big Mama Thornton, Big Maybelle, Etta James, Teresa James, Alberta Hunter, Victoria Spivey, Nina Simone, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Whitey Johnson, Albert Collins, B.B. King, Robert Cray and John Lee Hooker so you know she’s really into the blues.

The accolades on Karen’s talents are flying, comparing her appearance on the blues scene to that of Janis Joplin’s or Aretha Franklin’s. Prominent promoters are hitching their wagon to her career and with quotes like: “I honestly think Karen Lovely is the most talented singer I have been associated with since my early days with Robert Cray.“- Dennis Walker, multi Grammy and Handy award winning producer (Robert Cray, B.B. King, Bettye LaVette). If you’re in the Pacific North West US, Oregon specifically, you’ve a really good chance of catching Karen Lovely live. For the rest of us we can only wait and listen as I’m sure we we’ll be hearing a lot from this rising star.
